My intent is to enter the field as an Information Technology Specialist supporting customers in multiple locations or working in an IT department within a business. To provide outstanding timely comprehensive support in maintaining their networked system or provide emergency support to bring systems or their network back up to a fully functioning state with all data and software present. I believe in doing things right the first time while being thorough. I refuse to take shortcuts that can lead to further problems or partial solutions and while doing so I present myself as a professional. I'm a quick learner and realize that no one can know everything and I learn something new every day. I completed training at the Bohlen Technical Institute in the studies of Electronics and Computer science (Completed June 22, 2013).
I completed three weeks of Internship at Advanced Business Systems as an IT specialist supporting customers from Oswego County to the Potsdam area from April, 8 2013 to April 22, 2013.
I am Comptia Certified as of 22 May 2013 (Certification is located under the "More" tab in Technical Certifications and Endorsements).
Military Service Background:
I have completed twenty years of millitary service and retired from active dudty on October 1, 2011. My primary job scope was a Tracked Vehicle Mechanic, but I have held numerous other duties outside the mechanical field and some were computer or electronic related. My first deployment was to Bosnia in support of I.F.O.R. (Implementation Force) from 19 January, 1995 to 29 October 1996. The next deployment was to Iraq and was the first of many. I was assigned to a Medical unit that was responsible for providing level II trauma car to the Ramadi and Fallujah areas. The Forward Operating Base was only two years old and the medical facitly was functioning. I used skilled learned from outside the millitary and added running water and an emergency power system to the building as well as other improvements before our tour was over. During my second deployment to Iraq I assisted in maintaining a computer network that utilized a satellite connection needed to send patient information to a central database. As well as maintained 24 AN/TYQ-106(V)1 or Medical Communications for Combat Casualty Care (MC4) systems. I was assigned the duties and responsibilities of maintaining the secured radio communication systems in the Command Center and all vehicles. I was tasked to maintain the encryption which had to be changed on a weekly schedule in order to maintain communication security.
Motor Vehicle Repair Facility Manager:
Motor Vehicle Repair Facility Manager (Motor Sergeant) for a medical unit.
As a Motor Sergeant I managed the day to day operations of a repair facility by scheduling the effort of 8 repair technicians, scheduling routine maintenance as well as emergency repairs. I was responsible for the training and wellbeing of all assigned personnel, repair technicians and parts/dispatch clerks. I was overall responsible for the management of repair parts as well as all reports and records being kept in accordance within the scope of all policies.
Repair and Upkeep Technician:
Emergency Repair and General Upkeep Technician for a Level II Trauma Center deployed to Iraq.
I was responsible for maintaining electrical power throughout the facility and repairs to the buildings caused by battle damage and I primarily worked as the only repairman in the unit. My scope of duties was general upkeep to include constructing walls, doors and furniture, replacement of damaged electrical wiring, fuse panel assemblies, junction boxes, lighting fixtures, switches and outlets. I assisted the Medical Maintenance personnel in the repairs of medical equipment such as centrifuges, microscopes, portable digital x-ray machines and vital sign monitors.
Logistical Supply Technician:
Logistical Supply Technician for a Medical Unit.
Responsible for the tracking and inventory of all assigned equipment in the medical unit such as vehicles and trailers, computers, office equipment and furniture, tents with camouflage net systems and weapons. Reported directly to the unit Commander and was responsible for record keeping and tracking of shortages and equipment procurement to fill those shortages. I worked with the leadership of the unit to maintain records of equipment assigned to 86 medical personnel with in the unit.

Tracked Vehicle Mechanic trained to repair and upkeep Armored Personnel Carriers (M113), Command Post Center (M577), 60 ton Bridge Launchers (M60 and M48 chassis), 6 Ton Ammo carriers (M548) and the 56 Ton medium recovery vehicle (M88). Trained in the procedures to troubleshoot and repair diesel engines and drive trains, hydraulic and electrical systems, cooling and fuel delivery systems, hydraulic and air operated brake systems, heavy and medium suspension systems. I learned to work on a diverse range of equipment such as forklifts, scoop and bucket loaders, bulldozers and tactical earth movers as well as power generation and power distribution systems.
